Expedia TAAP integration with paxlounge

Simplify trip planning and work faster by easily exporting quotes to paxlounge.

Travel advisors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can now export Expedia TAAP property rates and share trip options for their travelers with paxlounge. Exporting lodging rates to paxlounge allows you to save time and move faster when trip planning and once travelers are ready to commit there’s no need to search for the property or select dates again. Once you link back to Expedia TAAP, you’ll be informed of any relevant price or availability changes to the selected room rate and easily resume your booking.

To learn how you can export Expedia TAAP rates to paxlounge, watch this video tutorial or follow the steps below:

1. Search properties

Select ‘Properties’ from the homepage and enter your search parameters. Click Search.

You can narrow down your search results by applying filters based on your travelers’ preferences. Click on a property.

2. Select the rate you wish to export

On the property details page select the rate you wish to export to paxlounge. Click Save in paxlounge to begin.

Confirm the export by selecting Continue (or revert to save in Expedia TAAP).

3. View your export in paxlounge

Once in paxlounge you’ll be able to view the Expedia TAAP rate(s) you exported. You can view details and content from Expedia TAAP when selecting the TAAP rate.

Any changes to price or availability will not be displayed whilst still in paxlounge. You will need to log back in to Expedia TAAP to see this.

4. Log back in to Expedia TAAP to complete your booking

Once you're ready to place your booking, simply pick up where you left off, linking back in to Expedia TAAP and visiting the property details page. Clear messaging will help you quickly identify the rate you previously saved.

You’ll be able to see any relevant updates, such as price increases (or decreases), since you generated the quote. Click Reserve to confirm your booking.

If your quote is no longer available, you’ll be shown an alert message like the example below. You can select an alternative room rate, if available, and proceed with your booking.

FAQs

Will I be able to export any rate or line of business to paxlounge?

No. You will only be able to export property rates. You cannot export rates for any other lines of business including flights, car rental, activities, or airport transfers.

Will I be able to export rates for VRBO properties?

Yes. You can export VRBO rates.

How long are quotes I’ve exported to paxlounge valid for?

Price and availability for any rates are not guaranteed. Once you log back in to Expedia TAAP you will be notified if any price or availability changes have occurred since you exported the quote.

Can I select multiple rates and export to paxlounge at once?

No. Each rate will need to be exported individually.

Will I still be able to create and save quotes on Expedia TAAP?

Yes. You will still have the option to save quotes on Expedia TAAP, if you do not wish to use paxlounge.
