Booking package rates

Package rates are prepaid discounted property rates available when combined with a transport component (please note the latter doesn't have to be booked with Expedia TAAP). Our package rates are considered some of the most competitive rates in the travel industry. They offer an average discount of 20% and/or may offer a higher commission to you.

Booking a package rate on Expedia TAAP is quick and easy. Learn the basics by watching our tutorial video above or by following the step-by-step instructions below.

Package rates selling guidelines

  • Please ensure you only use package rates as intended. You must have booked a flight, car, cruise, or train for the same traveler, but this transport booking does not have to come from Expedia TAAP. We do random audits on package booking itineraries each week. If you're selected, we will ask for a copy of your transportation receipt with the traveler's name.
  • The property package rate should remain opaque and never be disclosed to the traveler or to the property at any time (you can easily 'hide' the price using our itinerary builder tool, before forwarding the travel voucher to your traveler). Find out how to use the itinerary builder.

1. Enter search parameters

On your Expedia TAAP homepage, select Properties and enter your search parameters. After reading and accepting the package rate program terms and conditions, tick the box to confirm and click Search.

2. Select the preferred property

You will see a banner at the top of the page that confirms you're searching for package rates – apply filters to quickly narrow down to your preferred properties.

3. Choose the room type / package rate

When choosing the room type, you'll continue to see a banner that confirms you're searching for package rates. Under 'TAAP information' look for the property commission tier, as not every option will always be the same.
