Chatting with a support agent via the virtual agent
Live agent chat is a feature where you can chat with an agent online for support relating to a reservation—saving you time and allowing you to continue to deliver exceptional service to the travelers you serve.
How does it work?
If you need to speak to us about a reservation, then you can use this feature. It allows you to quickly contact an Expedia TAAP agent via a chat window, eliminating the need to contact us via the telephone.
With live agent chat, you get the same level of support as on the phone. The chat is available 24/7 in English, and with different hours of operation to support additional languages.
1. Click on Support or help icon
Click on the Support menu from the homepage, or select the floating help icon on the bottom right corner of your screen.
2. Select an existing booking or type Speak to an agent
The virtual agent will display the bookings you made. If your query is about an existing booking, select it. Type in the nature of your request. The virtual agent may present you with some self-serve options (depending on your query). If however you still feel like your query are not answered with any of the options type "speak to an agent" again.

3. Confirm you want to wait
There may be a wait time before an agent can speak to you. We will provide you with the estimated waiting time. If you want to wait, press Continue.
When an agent is ready, we will notify you. Make sure you don't close the chat window, as this will disconnect you entirely.
4. Begin the chat with our agent
Once the agent is connected, you can ask them any booking-related question. Once your query is resolved, take a few moments to tell us how we did by completing the survey.
